We are recruiting for a chair and new board members.
We’re looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who want to shape the work of the Co-production Network for Wales at this exciting time of growth and development.
We are a small but dynamic social enterprise driving forward co-production practices in Wales. As a board member you will help us work towards our vision of a fairer and more sustainable Wales where everyone has a voice that is heard/listened to. We want to strengthen and extend our board to help us stay innovative and grow our movement across communities.
Our aims are:
- to grow good practice across sectors and across Wales,
- to influence and support policy and decision makers to shape a positive context for this work, and
- to effect positive culture change in our public services and communities.
Our board of non-executive directors plays a vital role by:
- exercising oversight over the company’s legal obligations;
- ensuring that we carry out our functions in accordance with our constitution;
- ensuring we are financially rigorous and sustainable, and managing risks;
- upholding our values and high standards;
- making sure we are socially and environmentally responsible;
- keeping focused on our mission and objectives;
- supporting our strategic development;
- driving development, growth and learning, and improvement; and
- supporting the CEO in the exercise of the above.
Board member posts require a commitment of 3 – 4 days per year (6 – 8 for the chair). The term is three years, renewable. The role is unpaid on a voluntary basis, with expenses reimbursed (including care costs).
